Jupiter may be the biggest planet, but Saturn wins the beauty contest hands down. The rings of Saturn are made mostly of dust and chunks of rock. Saturn has a total of 18 moons that we know about, I have no doubt that we will discover more when the Cassini spacecraft arrives there in 2003. Cassini will also drop a probe on to the surface of Titan, the largest of the moons of Saturn. Titan has an atmosphere that is thicker than the Earth. With luck Cassini will arrive at Saturn without incident and we will be expand what we know about this planet.
Saturn, like all of the outer planets, has no "surface" to speak of. It's all gas. Although at the core of the planet there may be a ball liquid or metal hydrogen. So if you went there on summer vacation, you'd have no where to drive your tent stakes.
