Dated 1941, this poster comes from Russia. It shows a tank with Russian troops on it carrying a flag with Stalin on it. The red image in the background is that of an old turn of the century truck with troops on it who are carrying a flag with Lenins picture on it. Below the picture it says "The spirit of the Great Lenin and his Victorious banner inspires us for the Patriotic War now as well as 23 years ago." Things were not looking real good for the Russians in 1941 and this was meant to inspire people to fight. Personally, I think people were more motivated by patriotism and the threat of execution or the gulag.
