Vacancies Exist? I bet they do! This is a recruiting poster from 1935, it's one of my favorates. It shows several aspects of the Army all on this one poster. Some of these pictures are really great. The one in the center right is a bunch of tanks, the caption below it says "The Tanks stop for nothing!". That may be true, but when I look closely at the picture I can see a man standing in the middle of them. They may not stop for anything, but they don't go very fast. Just to the left of the tank picture is one of a small artillery piece firing, what's intresting in that picture is that the gun crew is wearing gas masks. Bottom left is a group of bombers "Riding over the top of the world". Then the one on the bottom right is a calvarly charge, with horses yet, the horses were still much faster than the tanks at this point, and they didn't break as much as the tanks did either. Belive it or not, this poster (well, one like it) appeared in a Three Stoogies episode! It's the one where they join the Army and it's sitting outside the recruiting office..
