When the Empire of Japan attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7th 1941, the United States was thrust into the Second World War. The US Pacific Fleet was crippled by this sneak attack. This poster played on the emotion that people felt after the attack. The US would avenge those who died on December 7th, we beat Japan, but only after tens of thousands more on both sides would die.
